Cleaning the Pump Contacts
on All 7-Pod AeroGardens

Sometimes when an AeroGarden Pump stops cycling water it is because high humidity has created corrosion on the metal contacts where the back of the Bowl meets the Lamp Arm. This humidity can come from water spilled in the Base when
refilling the AeroGarden, or from consistently high atmospheric humidity.

To check whether or not corrosion has occurred, and to clean the contacts if it has, follow this procedure:

1) Unplug the AeroGarden.

2) Remove the Bowl from the Base (being careful to lift the Bowl up before lifting it out, so as not to bend the
contact tabs at the back).

3) Inspect the two metal contacts on the front of the Lamp Arm for corrosion. If corrosion is present, you can either use a cotton swab with a little vinegar and some abrasive kitchen cleanser to gently scrub the corrosion off, or scrape them clean with a small sharp knife. Polish the contacts with a clean cotton swab after this to remove any cleanser residue. If there is no corrosion, click here and proceed to the next troubleshooting step.

4) Place the Bowl back onto the Base, and plug the AeroGarden back in.

5) If you have a Classic or Deluxe AeroGarden, Select "Salad Greens" on the control panel. If you have a Pro AeroGarden, set the AeroGarden to Super Grow (to do this select Strawberries, then hold the Select button down until the light next to "Strawberries" starts blinking, then release the button). On these settings the Pump is set to run continuously, so it should come on immediately.

6) Lift a seed pod out of its hole and check to see if water is flowing out of the little spout on the inside rim of the hole. If water is flowing, you have resolved the problem. If no water is flowing, please click here to proceed to the next troubleshooting step.
