When are strawberries going to be available again?
Strawberries love growing in the AeroGarden, but since they are a perennial that takes three years from seed to first berry harvest, the most practical way to grow them in the AeroGarden is by starting with small live plants that are already mature enough to have flowers.
When transplanted from soil, however, strawberries can bring all the normal, balanced soil microflora with them on their roots. In an aeroponic environment, this normal ecosystem can grow unbalanced, to the detriment of the plants.
Since our customers deserve the very best, we are conducting ongoing tests to assure that our strawberries consistently perform to our exacting standards of quality. We are hesitant to provide an estimated date of availability, as we have no way to predict the outcome of our rigorous performance evaluation tests. When our strawberries are proven ready for release, we will notify our customers through this website as well as in our print catalogs.
Please bear with us while we work hard to assure that the plants you receive are fully adjusted and proven in an aeroponic environment. As a young company in an industry that we pioneered, we are learning as we grow. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
