Production Supervisor

Position Summary:
AeroGrow International, Inc., the makers and marketers of the AeroGarden line of products, has an opening for a Production Supervisor to coordinate the production of the seed kit line, analyze inventory levels and purchase raw materials.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Monitors inventory levels to reorder points for raw materials used in the seed kit manufacturing line.
• Puts in purchase order requests to Supply Chain Manager for raw materials when we hit the reorder point.
• Provides seed kit line with daily production schedules.
• Purchases all materials needed for warehouse and seed kit production.
• Manages relations with vendors in regards to purchase order terms and timely receipt of materials.
• Runs output journals in Navision to consume raw materials and create finished goods.
• Maintains the Bill of Materials in Navision.
• Oversees the seeding and assembly functions for our production line.
• Provides daily metrics to management.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• A minimum of 1 to 2 years related experience.
• Excellent analytical and planning skills.
• Exhibits high degree of accuracy, while meeting quality requirements and striving to increase productivity.
• Excellent communication and team work skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as warehouse management systems.

Work Environment:

• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Education/Experience Required:

• Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school.
