Well, my sister got me one of these things because I was renting and didn't have a place to plant my own garden. I missed a lot about gardening--especially being able to watch the plants come up, and the pleasure of growing my own food. (Food just tastes better when you grow it yourself!)

Now that I've moved into a house of my own and I have the space to garden outdoors, I'm surprised to find that I strongly prefer the Aerogarden to mucking about in the dirt... No weeds, no bugs, no messy fertilizer, but still I get the fresh herbs I love cooking with.

I am an avid gardener in NC. Our summers are long and I grow beautiful plants outside. Then winter sets in and I get sad. The first tv ad of the aerogardens that I saw I nearly cried! My husband and our 5 wonderful boys bought me the 7 pod classic with herb Pack for Christmas! Best gift ever! It went up in less than 3 minutes. We put it on the kitchen counter on 12/28. The first 4 seeds germinated in 1 day!! The rest were up by day 3!!! They are growing at a fast pace and look so healthy!!! My Mother in Law also likes to garden but has no indoor plants, She lives in a developement of very old oaks therefore her house is very dark in the day. I can not wait to get her one of these units!!! She is 77 but I know she will get this up in no time because it is so easy!! Thank you to all who had a hand in buildig this! This is an awesome product and you offer so many styles and seed choices, there is something for everyone!!

I have been wanting to start my outside gardening again, but hesitated because of all the manual labor. I bought the Aerogarden and was estatic. It is great. I rather use this than tilling dirt.

I pinch the growing herbs and eat it right off the setup, stems and all. It so delicious and tender. I cannot wait to purchase more Aerogardens.

However, my mint, which was on the end was a slow grower until I rearranged it with my italian basil to help it grow faster. When it got taller I rearranged it back. I do not know why it did not grow because all of the other herbs were growning beautifully.

We Beat the Breeze

We've tried lots of ways to garden on the balcony of our Miami condo and always would up with soil flying, plants burning in the sun, or our dog, Tinky, mistaking the garden for her garden--if you know what I mean. Hours of labor and many dollars used to blow away in the wind. Problem solved. Aero Garden thrives on our counter--herbs galore-the invention works and the dog can't reach it. Food tastes great and looks wonderful with a fresh herb or two on top for presentation. We've turned our former herb garden into a mini park for the pet and we all live happily forever!!!

I am an avid cook who is always in the kitchen and wanted my own herb garden for years. With my Aerogrow there's just nothing I can't do. Everything grows so fast, the smell of the herbs is amazing, and there's nothing I cook that isn't flavored with something from my garden. I make a phenomenal sofrito out of all the herbs with some oil, fresh garlic, peppers, onions, tomatoes and other seasonings and put it in EVERYTHING. I add fresh herbs to my homemade mayonaisse and homemade butter for biscuits, steak sandwiches, fish, chicken, omelets ... you name it! Fresh dressings, fresh marinades, I LOVE the Herb & Serve. So fast and convenient to use. Just the perfect amount for my boyfriend and I. The house always smells fantastic when I'm cooking and the fresh herbs drive him wild. Always comes back for seconds and thirds. I plan to buy the Aerogarden 3 so I can always have fresh tomatoes on hand too. You guys are THE BEST! Can't wait for the strawberries! :)

I don't ever want to do without one

After a lifetime in California it was a real hardship when we moved and could only grow herbs during the spring and summer. The winter freeze killed everything off our first year here in the high desert region. The aerogarden allowed me to get back to cooking with fresh herbs year round. I adore this device.

I found out how indispensible it is when I cleaned it up in preparation to use the seed starter kit so that when the winter frosts are over I will have a head start planting my lavender outdoors. One week without fresh herbs and I purchased my second aero garden so I can get another herb kit started pronto. I'm sure I could live without it but I don't ever want to try.

My 6 year old granddaughter and I love our AeroGarden we can grow together and we don't even have a green thumb,my granddaughters job is to watch for the blinking lights and add the water and the food, she loves it. We can actually grow something together and you can't even hurt it. It's awesome, I tell everyone about my AeroGarden. Excellent Product and Fun!

This product is great

This product is great. It was easy to set up (kids and their dad did it). It started growing fast and the kids loved watching how much it would grow each day. The herbs were great. One complaint is the chives were think and we grew thick ones over the summer so wish were larger variety. But, everything was great. We are purchasing more pods now to start the next items we want to grow. It would be great if you could choose to buy individual seed pods instead of kits.. pick your pods per say. This is a great product and works well. I would suggest it for anyone.

We Save Money at the Grocery Store

I am so happy with my AeroGarden. I received it as a gift and started with herbs. Talk about food springing to life, everything I cooked tasted better with fresh herbs. I moved on to lettuce and got to stop buying lettuce at the store. Imagine that, 1 AeroGarden providing a salad loving family of four with enough lettuce that we stopped buying it at the store. We could feed guests too, with plenty left over for the next harvest! I started tomatoes about 5 weeks ago, and can't wait to start plucking sweet, juicy, tomatoes right off the plant. Thanks for a great product.

Our First grade class was so fascinated last year watching their Aerogrow herbs that we ordered one for the Second grade classroom. They have just set it up and already it is the first thing the students check each morning when they arrive at school. The teachers are able to relate the growth cycle to their science curriculum and our kitchen uses the herbs in the hot lunches they prepare onsite daily.

Good product for disabled

If you are living with a disability and it is difficult to get outside and do the hard work that gardening requires, this product is a joy to have. Because you don't have to bend, it makes it attractive for those of us with arthritic joints. I've always loved fresh plants but never got very good results; you could say I have a "brown thumb", but it is so easy to do "foolproof" gardening with the AeroGardens. I looked into other hydroponics, but AeroGrow makes the most attractive products and maybe the easiest to manage too. I really am pleased.

Until my AeroGarden, I was unable to make Chia Pets grow. My outside garden trough is full of lovely green leaves, but not one blossom on my squash/zucchini plants --- I am the only person in Sanders County Montana who plants seeds and raises EUNUCH SQUASH! I even used our well water in the AeroGarden, because it is the sweetest water around --- and my salad greens have fed us all summer long, and we eat a salad a day! Thank you AeroGarden! I just bought my second AeroGarden !

Who Needs a Green Thumb?

I bought my first garden last month as a Christmas present to me from my husband. I have tried to grow herbs and vegtables for years but I have a dark brown thumb! Never would ever grow. My basil from my first is already growing larger in 2 weeks then anything I have tried to grow inside or outside before. My kitchen is now full of sunlight which I love with our long winters. I love it so much that I just went out and bought another. I am going to save the herb kit that came with it and have just ordered the large salad greens seed kit. If that does half as well as my herbs are doing I will be very happy. So now I will have both herbs and salad greens and even more sunlight. If you get the winter blahs, buy a garden. It will really help.

It doesn't get any better than this! It tells you what to do and when to do it by the use of lights.
The only things you need to do are (1) watch the lights and add water/neutrients. (2) watch growth and harvest often. Some herbs grow almost while you watch! Particularly, Basils.

It makes a wonderful gift - especially for the person that has everything but might not have the time or ability to garden outside anymore. I really like this product for growing flowers at the office. I tried it first for herbs and vegetables but it took up too much counter space in our small kitchen. I love it for brightening up the office, though!
